- War-N Niklz, as a child in Williams Lake, BC, discovered his dad’s music collection of cassettes and vinyl. In that collection were AC/DC’s ‘Highway To Hell’, Meatloaf’s ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ and Kiss’s ‘Destroyer’. Listening to these bands lead War-N to watching them on Much Music and MTV where he was captivated by the stylistic images and intense lighting. War-N signed up for his first video course with a neighborhood friend when he was 12. He continued to experiment with cameras and music, taught himself to edit, and eventually enrolled in the Digital Film & Video program at the Art Institute of Vancouver. War-N thrived in the creativity of film school and welcomed feedback from his instructors in the interest of improving his skills. He also discovered a strong sense of story and has enjoyed developing his writing talents to support the visual outlet. War-N now looks forward to building a career path directing music videos, short form media, film production and other various forms of art.
